The first step in creating a custom metal pin is to discuss your various design choices. Choosing the right design is essential to crafting a top-quality die struck pin that will meet and exceed your expectations. Once the design is finished, the next step is to create your custom design with a unique die that is struck onto a particular type of metal. Typically, the metal is either copper, brass, or iron but other metals are also available. These metals are highly durable and will create a long-lasting die struck lapel pin. A specialized trimming tool will cut out each lapel pin, and texturing is applied to create a unique finish. Polishing will also create a noticeable contrast, and a final quality control check is the last step to ensure that everything meets our top-quality standards for die struck pins. Die struck pins are a great way to bring awareness to a particular cause or reward excellent achievements in the academic or corporate world. If you are still undecided, here are just a couple reasons why you should consider buying die struck pins from MetalPromo.
Die struck pins do not use any colored enamel, which results in a more classic or traditional appearance. The classic look of these custom metal pins is a great way to recognize long-tenured employees and reward them for many years of service. Of course, you can also use a cloisonne pin as a marketing tool, enabling you to increase the brand of your company and reach new clients.
Another benefit of purchasing die struck pins is that they are highly durable and will last for generations. Metal lapel pins are the perfect gift for any situation, as you will have the peace of mind knowing that each lapel pin is crafted with high-quality material. While the vast majority of items do not withstand the test of time, a die struck lapel pin is an excellent long-lasting accessory that will be treasured for countless years.

  • What is the difference between a soft enamel, hard enamel, and offset printed pin?

    • - For soft enamel, you will be able to feel the ridges of the metal separating the colors.
    • - For hard enamel, you will have more of a smooth, polished look.
    • - For offset printed, we print directly onto the metal and there is a epoxy dome over the top of the pin.

  • What is the difference between a die struck and die cast pin?

Die struck pins have the designs transferred to a front & back (optional) mold, the raw iron or brass being struck by each mold with enough force to transfer both the raised & recessed areas of the design into the pin metal. Die-Cast molds are fit together and molten zinc metal is injected into the die to create the pin.
