Why Make Custom Commemorative Cons?

Interested in learning more? Here are just a few examples of why custom geocoins are such a favorite item for people that enjoy geocaching.

Lasting Memorabilia

Commemorative challenge coins serve as durable, long-lasting keepsakes that encapsulate the significance of a particular event, milestone, or achievement, providing recipients with a physical memento to cherish for years to come. Unlike paper certificates or digital accolades, these coins are durable, physical objects that can withstand the test of time. They serve as a tangible memento that recipients can hold, display, or even pass down through generations. The design elements of the coin—whether it's an emblem, date, or inscription—capture the essence of the event, milestone, or achievement it commemorates. This makes each coin a miniature artifact of sorts, encapsulating a specific moment or accomplishment in a form that can be easily preserved and cherished. In this way, commemorative challenge coins offer a lasting way to remember and celebrate significant occasions, making them a deeply meaningful form of recognition.

Community Building

Commemorative challenge coins is a powerful tool for fostering a sense of unity and shared experience among a specific group of people. Whether it's a military unit commemorating a successful mission, a corporate team celebrating a project milestone, or a social organization marking an anniversary, the act of distributing these specially designed coins creates a collective sense of achievement and belonging. The coins themselves often feature symbols, mottos, or other design elements that are meaningful to the group, serving as a physical representation of the community's values and objectives. When members carry or display these coins, they are reminded of their shared experiences and the bonds that tie them together. This can strengthen interpersonal relationships within the group, enhance loyalty, and create a more cohesive and harmonious community, making the coins much more than just keepsakes—they become symbols of unity and shared purpose.

Custom Personalization

Customized commemorative coins offer a unique opportunity to tailor the design and messaging to the specific event, milestone, or achievement being celebrated, making them highly relevant and meaningful to the recipients. The customization allows for the inclusion of specific details such as dates, names, or logos, which add a personal touch and deepen the emotional impact of the coin. This level of personalization transforms the coin from a generic keepsake into a cherished memento that resonates with the individual or group it is intended for. Moreover, customized commemorative coins can serve as a powerful branding tool for organizations, as they carry the organization's identity and values in a tangible form that can be easily shared and displayed.

What is the difference between a die struck and die cast coin?

Die struck coins have the designs transferred to a front & back mold, the raw brass being struck by each mold with enough force to transfer both the raised & recessed areas of the design into the brass. Die Cast molds are fit together and molten zinc metal is injected into the die to create the coin blank.

What is the difference between a soft enamel and die hard enamel coin?

Simply put, Soft Enamel are textured, with the enamel filled below the metal ridges, while Hard Enamel are smooth, the overfilled enamel polished smooth against the metal. You can have one side of your coin be soft enamel and the other side be hard enamel.
